Films that match how you feel.

Set your mood in a short check-in and FlixMe surfaces films that resonate with that moment. As you swipe, it learns and you can steer it.

How it works

Three steps. Films that resonate with your mood.

You set how you feel, you swipe, and FlixMe tunes the picks with you.

01

Mood check-in

You set how you feel on a radar mood graph. In under a minute it captures your emotional profile for the moment.

02

Swipe and steer

As you swipe, it learns. If the picks don't land, you adjust the tone, tune by genre, re-anchor your mood, or leave a note.

03

The films

Iso-principle: films that accompany what you feel, not ones that try to fix it. With exceptions for boredom, anxiety, and anger.

Starts from your mood, not an endless list.

FlixMe isn't a catalog to browse. It starts from how you feel and suggests films that fit that moment.

By your mood, not by genre

You set how you feel and FlixMe surfaces films that resonate with that moment, not just a genre.

Learns, and you steer it

As you swipe, it learns. If the picks don't land, you adjust the tone, tune by genre, re-anchor your mood, or leave a note.

Each film's emotional profile

Each listing shows the film's emotional profile and where to stream it.

In cinemas and classics

Includes what's in cinemas now and acclaimed classics, not just the streaming catalog.

No account, anonymous

Works without an account. Watchlist, ratings, favorites, and a decision wheel, all on your device.

What's new

v1.7.1+9 2026-06-12
  • **Smoother transitions**: deck cards now cascade in when you re-aim the wheel, apply a tweak, or pull more recommendations — one even motion, no jumps or flicker.
  • **Tidier pause cards**: cinema, trivia and suggestion cards show up as the last card before you continue, never interrupting or peeking behind the film you're rating.
  • **Skips that stick**: skip a film and we won't suggest it again for a while — not even if you change your mood or re-aim the wheel.
  • **"Next ad" bar**: the deck's top bar now says what it tracks (was "usage") and reflects exactly how long until the next ad, even if you close and reopen the app.
  • **Clearer buttons**: "View information" and "Keep rating" now read as the primary action.
  • **Settings**: genres are listed alphabetically, and the intensity you set from a card matches exactly what Settings shows.
  • **Onboarding language**: your phone's language comes pre-selected.
  • **Better recommendations**: fine-tuning so the deck lands sooner on what you're after and reacts better when something doesn't fit.
v1.7.0+8 2026-06-11
  • **Soon & in theaters**: a new view merging worldwide upcoming films with what's showing in Chilean cinemas. A 2-column grid with title and year over the poster plus status icons (pulsing ticket = now in theaters, pre-sale, coming soon, already released).
  • **Buy tickets**: in Chile, each in-cinema film's detail shows where to watch it with a direct buy link (Cinépolis, Cinemark, Cineplanet, Cine Normandie, Cineteca Nacional, Centro Arte Alameda, Matucana 100, GAM).
  • **"In theaters"**: a pulsing badge on the deck card when the film is showing in a cinema.
  • **"What we know so far"**: recent releases that already have ratings show their score and a provisional emotional profile; classics in theaters show the full "Rating & profile", with an IMDb link and credits.
  • **Ads**: the deck's rewarded ad now actually plays when you continue.
  • **Country in onboarding**: pick your country alongside language, auto-detected — so the cartelera shows up even if your phone is in another language.
  • **Upcoming card**: now appears once per app open (no longer re-appears every time you re-aim).
  • **Snappier**: the "View information" button shows up faster when you return from a pause card.
  • **Filters & polish**: a per-tag content setting now overrides the master preset; banner and nudge-card fixes.
v1.6.0+7 2026-06-08
  • **Destination wheel**: now you pick what you want the film to *deliver* ("I want to watch something…"). Zones read like a kind of film (Reflective, Visceral, Serene…) instead of moods.
  • **Examples carousel** above the start card: a coverflow of films suggested by emotion and intensity that updates as you move the wheel. On OK, those same films lead the deck.
  • **Movie profile spider chart**: see the full emotional mix (not just a dot), under "What it leaves you with".
  • **Detail actions**: like, dislike, watchlist and Top 10 right from the movie detail.
  • **Cleaner start card**: bigger wheel, "last adjusted…" chip, and an OK button with a spinner that can't be double-tapped.
  • **Momentum carousel** swipe and unique covers (no repeated films across zones).
  • **"Next"** button in the deck (was "Skip") and minor consistency fixes.
v1.5.0+6 2026-06-01
  • **Recommendations reorganized**: the backend now decides what comes in each slot (movies, refinements, breaks) instead of the app. Result: more coherence between what the system knows and what you see.
  • **No more repeated movies**: new duplicate-prevention system that detects when the catalog is exhausted and opens the wheel for you to re-aim.
  • **Drag&drop animations polished**: icons react only on actual contact, stay marked through the whole transition, and don't hide until the next movie is fully in place.
  • **Clear loading skeleton**: when an image takes time to load, you see the FlixMe logo on dark background instead of the previous cover bleeding through.
  • **Unified Settings**: Settings and "Advanced" share one source of truth (Fine-tuning with Genres, Intensity, Emotional, +18 Content as accordions).
  • **Trivia: single toggle** that controls both previous options (in deck and while loading).
  • **Non-blocking deck loader**: during refinements, the current movie is no longer erased; a discreet spinner indicates the next one is coming.
  • **Top 10 no longer auto-watchlists** — they're separate lists.
  • **Re-aim FAB** is now a "power" icon and hides during drag.
  • **Onboarding restored**: first-run gesture coach + language/+18 flow with CTA near the checkbox.
  • Pre-upload polish: 'No connection' retry now shows Top 10 / Watchlist / Settings access so you never get stuck. Re-aim FAB now opens the actual emotional wheel.
v1.2.1+4 2026-05-30
  • When several movies in a row share a genre (animation, documentary, romance, anything), a quick modal lets you adjust that genre without leaving the deck.
  • Deck refinement now lets you fine-tune each content filter separately via "Advanced".
  • Switched to a declarative model: you aim at the emotion you want, FlixMe delivers the film.
  • Goodbye to the initial measurement mini-games.
  • Simpler onboarding.
  • Intensity slider below the wheel.
  • Intensity slider now also appears in deck refinement, not only the intro.
  • Reset genres straight from the refinement card; the list auto-expands when an active genre lives outside the first four.
  • The system detects when a batch is very light or very animation-family and offers contextual refinement ("want something denser?").
  • New "didn't hit the goal" signal based on opening detail or adding to watchlist (not on like alone).
  • "What this film delivers" now shows content intensity on a compact five-dot scale.
  • **Content filters**. Mark what kind of content you prefer to see or avoid (graphic violence, sexual content, body horror, heavy tone, dark humor). Settings → Content filters.
  • **Redesigned onboarding**. Confirm your age with a checkbox and pick the intensity with a single slider (None · Light · Balanced · Strong · No limits) that seeds your filters. You can fine-tune each one later in Settings.
  • When a strong match for your mood includes something you normally avoid, we ask before showing it.
  • When several movies in a row share a content type, we offer an inline tune without leaving the deck.
  • The system analyzes patterns in your skips to suggest contextual refinements.
  • Unified emotional graph: a single Russell circle replaces chips, hexagon, and sliders. Consistent across the app.
  • Intro screen: now says "Aim what you want to see"; a semi-transparent ghost dot of your current state appears while you drag the target.
  • Fix: the emotional circle dot is draggable again (some screens were freezing it).
  • Target dot: see where we're looking for the movie relative to where you are. Green halo when it matches.
  • Aim mode: tap the icon and you set the target directly.
  • "Coming up": occasional pause card with a carousel of the most-anticipated upcoming releases. Tap one for details.
  • Trivia comes alive: swipe right if you liked the fact, left if you didn't. Share trivia as image now works.
  • Genres with sliders: same control as Settings, now also mid-session, with Apply / Cancel.
  • Genre refine: always shows at least 4 genres even if your preferences list is empty.
  • More coherent reads: when you combine sadness with boredom, we recommend something absorbing rather than forced comedy.
  • More stable posters: migrated to a durable CDN; no more blank slots.
  • Onboarding without the green outline: the guide finger rotates across the four actions (liked, OK, no, save for later).
  • More reliable refinement ladder: genre no longer gets skipped when picks miss.
  • "Did you know…": never blank; the deck moves on cleanly when there's no fact.
  • Trailer: the play button shows a clear play icon (used to be a red circle).
  • Top 10 add animation + soft heads-up when your watchlist grows.
  • Fixes: trivia no longer gets cut mid-read when a new batch arrives; movie profile no longer crashes when opened.
  • Fixes: the system no longer proposes contradictory refinements after you adjusted your aim. Films you add to "Watchlist" now influence your recommendations.
  • Fixes: intensity slider now visible in the deck refinement card. Spider thumb starts where you left it last time.
  • V2 fixes: intensity slider now has enough room to render fully. Wheel position persists on Apply and starts there on the next refinement.
  • V3 fixes: the first poster no longer shows a large animated icon while loading; you now see a quiet solid background. And applying a refinement no longer stacks two loaders at once (the global overlay plus the deck's inline spinner).
  • Advanced refinement: each filter now has its own slider and the section scrolls if it grows.
  • Settings mirrors the refinement card's intensity controls (slider + Advanced with granular sliders).
  • Adult content toggle now lives in Settings, next to the rest of the filters.
  • Settings now shows the +18 control + slider + Advanced in the screen the user actually reaches.
  • Wheel progress notification now renders as a card with the chip icon instead of a flat snackbar.
  • Deck + modal UX polish: library counts in Settings no longer stay at zero on the first open; "Director" / "Writer" rows in the detail modal are tappable (same expandable credit row the upcoming-movie modal already used); the "preparing your next picks" spinner now carries the FlixMe avatar.
  • "We noticed several X movies" now opens as a popover instead of a deck card, with an "I'll handle it in Settings" link that silences that tag on this device.
  • Fix: trivia no longer gets pushed off-screen by an incoming batch while you're reading it.
  • Upcoming movies: new "Add to calendar" button in the detail sheet that opens your calendar with the event pre-filled for release day.
  • Per-tag content filters now expose five levels (None · Light · Balanced · Strong · Max), mirroring the master intensity slider.
  • Director and writer rows in the upcoming-movie detail now show one name per row when there are multiple credits, matching the regular movie detail.
  • When several movies in a row pull on the same emotional axis (humor, energy, or brightness), a quick modal lets you adjust that axis with a link to silence it on this device.
  • A few days after you add a film to your watchlist, a deck card asks how it landed (Liked it · Didn't like it · Haven't seen it · Skip). Your answer tunes what comes next.
v1.2.0+3 2026-05-29
  • Mood-matched picks: mark how you feel on a radar graph and FlixMe surfaces films that resonate with the moment. It learns as you swipe.
  • Steer on the fly: when something's off, tune the tone, the genre, or re-anchor your mood — it shows up only when you need it.
  • In cinemas: films currently in theaters stand out in the deck.
  • No repeats: a film you've already seen won't come back.
  • Stronger first impression: sessions open on top-rated classics, and they vary each time.
  • Fuller detail: emotional profile, where to stream, and a director/writer's other films.
  • Polish: a first-run guide, a usage bar, and assorted fixes.
v1.1.0+2 2026-04-21
  • **FlixMe Unlocks**: every 100 rated films earns a shareable emotional-profile card (AI archetype, 9-dim centroid, signature films, top genres). Archive in Profile → "Show unlocks"; top banner for new ones.
  • **Take-a-break card**: after 25 films or 25 minutes since the test, suggests retaking it and shows your watchlist from the session.
  • **Lists by date**: newest first in rated films and watchlist.
  • **Fewer repeats**: films you skipped won't return for an hour.
  • **Cleaner end-of-deck**: "That's all for now" no longer flashes when background fetches arrive late.
  • Español neutro en toda la app (sin voseo).
v1.0.0+1 2026-04-20
  • First public build. Mood check-in with 3 short mini-games (PAUSA, PULSO / SEÑA, TONO) that read activation, tension, and valence in under a minute.
  • Swipe-deck recommendations: rate, save to watchlist, reject by genre / keyword / actor, or skip.
  • Movie detail sheet with bilingual plot, emotional spider chart, and streaming providers in your country (via TMDB / JustWatch), with direct deep-link to the service app.
  • Genre preference profile (blocked / less / neutral / more) and vintage filter ("from YYYY") that persists across sessions.
  • Anonymous by default. Optional magic-link account (no password) to sync across devices.
  • Interface in Spanish and English, auto-detected on first launch.
  • Skip-test: a rewarded ad (AdMob) gates the shortcut; taking the test stays ad-free.
  • Persistent skip suppression on the swipe deck — a film you skipped doesn't come back for 1 hour, even if you close the app.
